Getting Juniors Active this Summer

We know our junior members have missed the gym, our pool, and our courts as much as we have. So, here’s what we have lined up for them this Summer starting next week (week commencing 3rd August).


Swimming Lessons
 

We are running lessons in 4-week blocks for our stage 1 – 3 swimmers. The sessions will be run in accordance with Swim England COVID-19 guidelines and will be as follows:

  • Monday 4.30 – 5pm,
  • Wednesday 3.30 – 4pm
  • Sunday 9.30 – 10am


Junior Squash Coaching

Junior Squash coaching will also run for four weeks and resume next week on:

  • Wednesday 5.45 – 6.30pm
  • Saturday 9.30 – 10.15am and 10.15 – 11am

Unfortunately, we are not able to run the mini squash on Saturday mornings so the above sessions will be for 7+ intermediate players.

All coaching will adhere to England Squash COVID-19 guidelines and there will be no more than two on a court at any time.


Junior Tennis Coaching

Junior Tennis coaching will take place as follows for four weeks starting next week:

  • Tuesday 2 – 5pm (Beginners)
  • Thursday 2 – 5pm (Experienced / Tournament standard)
  • Saturday 9am – 12pm (Intermediate).

All sessions will run with U8’s for the first hour, U11’s for the second hour and U16’s for the final hour and will adhere to LTA COVID-19 guidelines.

Due to social distancing and restricted numbers, spaces are limited on all lessons and coaching, so do please book your spaces as soon as possible on 01234 607111.  The Reception team can also help on the same number with any questions or queries you may have. 

As well as our coaching and lessons the following activities are also available for junior members throughout the summer.

Parent & Junior Gym

These popular sessions are suitable for 12- 15-year olds and will run as follows:

Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, 12 – 4pm

Thursdays, 12 – 4pm and 8-10pm

Fridays, 12 – 6pm

Saturdays and Sundays, 2 – 6pm

Junior members must always be accompanied and supervised by an adult and they cannot enter the free weights area for health & safety reasons.  

Gym sessions must be booked during this time, through the app or with our Reception Team, Bookable sessions are 45 minutes and two sessions can be booked back-to-back. Members can currently book 7 sessions per week.

Family & Junior Circuits

Family circuits enables you and your children to enjoy a fun workout together.  Learn off and help each other develop in this fun and rewarding class.  Suitable for children aged 5 – 12.  Every Saturday 12.30 – 1.15pm in the High Impact studio.  We are currently limiting this class to just 10 members so there will be lots of room to exercise safely.

Book with the Reception team.  A place must be booked for both you and your child. 

Club Lounge

The Club Lounge is now open so whilst you are watching or waiting for your children, please do enjoy a coffee or try one of our delicious fresh smoothies of the day. We will also start our kitchen service on Monday 3rd August, initially from 9am to 2pm every day, including our new Kids Menu, take a look at it here.

And the good news continues!  We are taking part in the “dine out to help out” scheme so it’s 50% off all food and soft drinks on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout August. Why not have lunch in the Club and take a break from cooking!  We’ve increased the spacing between our tables to allow for social distancing and we have lots of tables outside on our sun terrace, and space for the kids to run around, so member family bubbles are very welcome to come in and have lunch with us.
