Class Descriptions

AQUA is a great way to improve fitness and muscle tone. The water provides an atmosphere of safe resistance for aerobic conditioning. This class is perfect for the fit, pregnant, and/or joint-sensitive individual.

BODYATTACK™ is a high-energy fitness class with moves that cater for total beginners to total addicts. We combine athletic movements like running, lunging and jumping with strength exercises such as push-ups and squats. A LesMills™ instructor will pump out energising tunes and lead you through the workout – challenging your limits in a good way, and leaving you with a real sense of achievement.

BODYBALANCE™ – Ideal for anyone and everyone, BODYBALANCE™ is the yoga-based class that will improve your mind, your body and your life. During BODYBALANCE™ an inspired soundtrack plays as you bend and stretch through a series of simple yoga moves and embrace elements of Tai Chi and Pilates. Breathing control is a part of all the exercises, and instructors will always provide options for those just getting started. You’ll strengthen your entire body and leave the class feeling calm, centered and happy!

BODYCOMBAT™ is a high-energy martial arts-inspired workout that is totally non-contact. Punch and kick your way to fitness and burn up those calories. No experience needed. Learn moves from Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay Thai, Capoeira and Kung Fu. Release stress, have a blast and feel like a champ. Bring your best fighter attitude and leave inhibitions at the door.

BODYPUMP™ is for anyone looking to get lean, toned and fit – fast. Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, BODYPUMP™ gives you a total body workout. Our instructors will coach you through the scientifically proven moves and techniques pumping out encouragement, motivation and great music – helping you achieve much more than on your own! You’ll leave the class feeling challenged and motivated, ready to come back for more. This class is low impact and suitable for all levels. We recommend attending one of our BODYPUMP™ Technique classes prior to your first class.

Boxercise™ is an exercise concept based on the training methods used by boxers. Sessions typically involve hitting focus pads, but no class involves hitting an opponent! The class focuses on the whole body giving a great cardio workout, strengthening muscles, improving hand-eye co-ordination and core strength.

CIRCUITS is a simple but very effective studio-based class that incorporates strength, cardio and conditioning into one workout. No coordination is required and it is suitable for all levels. You will target all muscle groups for a full body training session – be ready to break into a serious sweat!

FAMILY CIRCUITS has been put together for you and your children to enjoy a workout together! Learn off each other and help each other develop in this fun and rewarding class.

FREESTYLE AEROBICS is a fun and feel-good class full of ‘Old skool’ aerobics vibes! Featuring easy to follow routines to music, this class is designed to lift the heart rate, increase cardio fitness and overall strength with options to suit all abilities and levels. Expect a grapevine or two alongside some full body conditioning, this class will leave you smiling and feeling energised for the rest of the day!

Les Mills core exercises muscles around the core and provides the vital ingredient for a stronger body. A stronger core makes you better at all things you do, from everyday life to your favourite sports – it’s the glue that holds everything together. All the moves in Les Mills Core have options, so it’s challenging but achievable for your own level of fitness. During the 30-minute workout trained instructors guide you through correct technique as you work with resistance bands and weight plates, as well as body weight exercises like crunches, and hovers. You will also get into some hip, butt and lower back exercises.

Gently Active is a low impact class aimed at those wanting a less intense workout, incorporating easy to follow lower intensity moves to music followed by a functional strength and conditioning section. This class is suitable for all ages (male and female!) and is particularly enjoyed by some of our older members however is ideal for any age group. It provides a fun and enjoyable full body workout and is ideal for those new or returning to exercise.

GRIT™ SERIES offers three different 30 minute high intensity interval training (HIIT) workouts that build cardiovascular fitness, while improving strength, building lean muscle and maximising calorie burn. Whether, you are in a GRIT Strength, Athletic or Cardio class you will soon become addicted to the amazing results they can achieve.

Club Towers GROUP CYCLE offers a high energy class featuring great soundtracks with motivating instructors taking participants through a mixture of flats, hills and sprints while burning calories all the way! Our fantastic purpose built Group Cycling studio makes this an experience not to miss.

GYM FLOOR WORKOUTS provide our members a chance to work out in groups on our Omnia Rig situated in the gym. Add in the Skillmills™ and Watt Bikes™ and you have a circuit guaranteed to get you working hard. Our dedicated Personal Trainers will tailor the classes to meet the needs of participants and this is a great way to introduce yourself to some new pieces of kit, different exercises in Gym and of course other members.

LBT is a low impact sculpting and fat burning class focusing on all those problem areas. Incorporating classic body weight moves such as squats and lunges, our instructors will lead you through an effective lower body and core workout, giving options on the way to suit all levels of fitness/ability.

PILATES is a superb dynamic full body stretch and deep core workout, which hones in on postural muscle groups and develops overall toning and strength.

SPIRALS PILATES

A Pilates based program choreographed to music working on mobility, flexibility, stability, co-ordination and balance. Suitable for all levels with the first half standing and second half on the mat. You will leave the class feeling amazing!

POWERFUL PILATES

Enjoy a modern take on the classic Pilates style, to leave you feeling stronger and empowered! You will move through traditional exercises such as squats, lunges and upper body work whilst ensuring strong postural and core engagement is maintained.

Be aware you will build up a sweat in this Powerful Pilates class!

FITNESS PILATES is A challenging yet safe exercise class that promotes a balanced, lean, longer and more toned shape. This class will help you achieve a flatter stomach, better posture, stronger back for a more flexible and mobile body. It will also increase strength and endurance as well as coordination.

Mondays 6.15pm

PiYo is a Pilates (Pi) and Yoga (Yo) inspired workout with the strength of Pilates and the flow of Yoga. It is high intensity but low impact and suitable for all levels with options to suit different abilities.

Hatha Yoga

Suitable for all levels and the emphasis being to work at ones own pace but with some challenges for those that would like them. This class integrates breath work to assist in the asanas, whilst relaxing with body and mind. The class pace will take into account the ability and knowledge of posture and cues to aid alignment, resulting in a nurturing experience for the body and mind. Continued practice will assist with toning and elongating the muscles and achieve a real sense of relaxing and well-being.

Vinyasa Flow

Ideally suited for those who have practiced for 3-6 months, with movements sequenced together in a dynamic and flowing way, including hip openers, back bending, heart openers and hip/shoulder mobility. Ideal for those wanting a stronger practice.

Yin Slow Flow

A gentle and deeply relaxing yoga class suitable for all levels where poses are held for longer and the pace is slower.

Relax & Stretch

A relaxing, resting and unwinding yoga class suitable for all levels. This class is slightly shorter in duration and includes a relaxing savasana at the end.

Sundays 6.15pm

ZUMBA is a dance class guaranteed to get your heart pumping and get you moving to the South American Latin rhythm and beat music. If you love dancing why not join the class and get fit at the same time. A class that is great for all levels.
