Sweet Success as Cake & Coffee Morning Raises £1,400

26 April 2023

We do love our charity cake and coffee mornings and our Spring ’23 edition didn’t disappoint!  It was a delightful morning with a really lovely atmosphere in the Club as members socialised together before and after their exercise. The absolute cherry on the cake was that we raised £1,406 for member chosen local charities, the Elisabeth Curtis Riding Centre for the Disabled and the Sue Ryder Hospice in Moggerhanger.  An absolutely fantastic amount!

The event is all made possible by donations from members and staff who baked and also Missibakes, La Rondine, Bookers, Cupcake Craving by AliceKate’s Amazeballs. I am sure those who joined us on the morning will agree we had some absolutely stunning and delicious cakes and bakes on offer.  A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported with their cakes – we really appreciate your efforts in making the morning such a huge success. And, of course, a huge thank you to those who purchased generously on the day! The Club also donates fifty percent of hot drink sales during the morning, which brought us to our total of £1,406!

This is our penultimate event for these two charities, with our members being asked to select two new charities in the Summer.  Our final event for this fundraising year is our Summer Ball which takes place on the 1st July, with just four tables left. If you would like to join us for an evening of good food, dancing, great people and fundraising for two very worthwhile charities, act now!  Full details can be found here.
