Festive Season Opening Hours and Timetable Changes
Christmas is very nearly here so we wanted to share with you our opening hours and timetable changes.
Club Opening Hours
The Club will be open as usual until Christmas Eve. Opening hours are then as follows:
Christmas Eve – 8am – 4pm
Christmas Day – Closed
Boxing Day – 9am – 1pm
New Year’s Eve – 8am – 4pm
New Year’s Day – 9am – 1pm
Off -peak members will not have restricted access on the above days. On the other days between Christmas and New Year our opening hours will be as normal.
The Club Lounge will be open as usual during our opening hours for both “eat in” and “take-away” orders.
Gym
The gym remains open as per the above opening hours. There will be additional parent and junior gym sessions for 12-15 year olds which will run week day afternoons 1.30-4pm on the 23rd, 30th and 31st December and 2nd and 3rd January.
Group Exercise Classes
Classes will run as usual until Sunday 22nd December. After this, we will be running a reduced class timetable due to lower demand and reduced instructor availability. The timetable can be found on the booking system, here or a handout is available at Reception. Classes can still be booked online 7 days in advance as normal. The timetable will revert to the pre-Christmas timetable between the 2nd and 5th January. A slightly revised timetable will start on the 6th January – details will follow later.
The next Les Mills launch will take place over the weekend of 10-12th January; details will follow in the New Year.
Swimming
Swimming lessons have ended until the New Year but otherwise there will be no changes to the timetable over the Christmas period. The timetable can be found here.
The new term for swimming lessons begins on Monday 6th January and bookings are being taken now. Please speak to Reception to check availability.
Tennis
Courts remain open to book in the usual way as per the above Club opening hours. The adult and junior coaching timetable will start again week commencing Monday 6th January. To book or find out more please speak to the Reception team.
If you are a new Racquets members and never had a tennis welcome with Nick, please do book with the Reception team, whatever your ability they are a great way to find out more about playing tennis at the Club. Our first four week Start-rite course of 2020 starts on the 8th January, this is the course for members returning or new to the sport. It will cover all the basics of the game and help you transform your forehand, backhand, volleys. Sign up with our Reception team.
Our first tournaments of 2020 are the Junior Oz Open which is on 25th January and the Towers Cup on 1st February. Details will follow in the New Year, but please do pop the dates in your diary.
Squash
Our courts remain open to book in the usual way as per the above Club opening hours. Junior and adult coaching courses resume from week commencing Monday 6th January. If you are keen to try Squash but unsure where to start, please do speak to our Reception team who can arrange a Squash welcome for you with coach, Ed. He will assess your playing level and point you in the right direction for the next course and help introduce you to others who are looking for games.
Our next Ladies Squash and Prosecco evening is the 14th January, these are fun free social session for all playing levels. Book now at Reception.
Creche
Our creche will close at 1pm on Friday 20th December and open again at 9am on the 6th January.
