New Group Cycle Bikes Coming Soon!
The date for the arrival of the new studio bikes at the Club is nearly upon us, with bikes arriving on the 14th December and we know how excited many of you are to get going on them.
The Decision to Change to Stages Bikes
Our group cycle classes, led by a fantastic team of instructors, have always been so popular at the Club and despite the old bikes serving us very well we felt it was time for a change.
The bikes are such an important part of the group cycle experience we wanted to make sure we made the right choice and consequently spent a lot of time researching our options and, of course, seeking the valuable input of our experienced instructor team, before making the decision. After assessing a few different options, we decided to go with Stages.
About your New Stages Bikes…
The Stages SC3 bike is considered by many as the global leader in premium indoor cycling. Stages as a company first came into the market in 2010 and they have grown at a rapid rate since then. They have a real passion and specialism in elite level cycling and their bikes were designed with this in mind. They have gone from strength to strength in recent times and the SC bike series has been developed to give members the best experience in both rhythm and performance-based classes.
Bike features such as an aluminium frame, CarbonGylde, Magnetic braking system, FitLoc system (used to help adjust the bike) and a sprint shift function make it innovative yet simple to maintain. Don’t worry if these terms don’t mean anything to you yet, your instructor will be well-prepared and able to take you through all you need to know about the new bikes!
The top end SC3 bike that is coming to the Club also has the Stages power meter; the most accurate, reliable and consistent direct power meter on the market. Stages Cycling is the only company that has a power meter that is used and endorsed by the most prestigious indoor cycling studios, as well as the world’s most elite outdoor cyclists and teams. For those of you that are focused on performance this power meter really does set the Stages bike apart.
Delivery Date and Class Details
The bikes are being delivered to us on the 14th December and our instructors will then be undergoing some training on the bikes with the Stages team. Our instructors will be well-equipped therefore, to guide you through everything you need to know to get set up and ensure you enjoy your classes and get the most out of them.
There will be a bit of disruption to the normal timetable while the bikes get installed and the instructors go through their training, but we hope you will agree it is well worth it and a small price to pay for some brand-new, high-end bikes in the Club.
