Festive Season Opening Hours and Timetable Changes 2020 – 2021

Christmas is very nearly here so we wanted to share with you our opening hours and information during the holiday season.

Club Opening Hours

The Club will be open as usual until Christmas Eve.
Opening hours are then as follows:

Christmas Eve – 08:00 – 16:00
Christmas Day – Closed
Boxing Day – 09:00 – 13:00
27th – 30th December – 08:00 – 20:00
New Year’s Eve – 08:00 – 16:00
New Year’s Day – 09:00 – 13:00

Off -peak members will have full access on the 26th December and 1st January.

Club Lounge

The Club Lounge will be open for a takeaway service only (due to our new Tier 3 status) during our Christmas opening hours. Do look out for our seasonal specials, including our Christmas Dinner baguette, available to takeaway.

Gym

The gym remains open as per the above opening hours and sessions continue to be booked through the app as usual.

Juniors in the Gym
Parent and Junior gym times remain as:
Weekdays: Any time apart from 17.15 – 20.15
Weekends: Any time after 12.15
Please remember parents/guardians must remain with the junior member at all times and both must book their Gym space.

PT Sessions
PT sessions will still be available to book, including our new 30-minute sessions, please book directly with the PT or the Reception team can also help.  The team are getting booked up for January, so do get in touch with them now to avoid disappointment.


Group Exercise Classes

Now that Bedford is in Tier 3, there will be no group exercise classes taking place in the Club from Saturday 19th December until further notice.

Our on-line service, Club Towers Live, will continue over the Christmas and New Year period – please refer to the website for the latest information on class times. If you haven’t requested your access code and would like to access the service, please email [email protected].

Swimming

Swimming lessons will not take place over the festive period but otherwise there will be no changes to the timetable over the Christmas period. The timetable can be found here.  When booking sessions on the app, please do take note of our adult only swim times they can be found on the timetable.

The new term for swimming lessons begins on Monday 11th January and bookings are being taken now. Please speak to Reception to check availability.

Tennis, Squash & Table Tennis

Courts remain open to book in the usual way as per the above Club opening hours under the new tier 3 guidelines.

Junior Coaching

The junior coaching timetable will start again week commencing Monday 11th January and booking is now open.

Do not forget anyone in the 4-11 age category now has racquets included in membership and can book onto our free taster sessions w/c 4th January, details can be found here or please do ask the Reception team for more information and to book in.

Our first tennis tournament of 2020 is the Junior Club Championships which takes place on the weekend of 16/17th January.  Tournaments are an important part of a junior players journey; they provide good experience and are fun!  Please sign your child up at Reception now.

Please save the date for our Junior Squash Club Championships – the event will take place over the weekend of the 30/31st January.  More details to follow.

Adult 1:1 Coaching

These are still able to take place, so if you would like to book a lesson with one of our experienced team of coaches you can contact them directly.  Profiles and contact details of our Squash coaches can be found here and our tennis coaches here. 

We are also offering our Squash welcome to all members (normally only available for racquets members).  Squash is a great sport for so many reasons and whilst it is limited at the moment, it is still a great way to burn some calories and get the heart going.  Whether you’ve never tried before or keen to get back into it, the Squash welcome with Ed will assess your standard and help guide you towards the right activities for you within our Squash programme.  This can be arranged at a time convenient for you and Ed, please contact him at [email protected] to arrange.

Creche

Our creche will close at 1pm on Friday 18th December and open again at 9am on the 4th January.  Our Creche manager Amy is sadly leaving us at the end of the year, she will be greatly missed and we wish her the very best in the future.

Nutrition Services

Free 20 Minute Consultation

We are continuing to offer all members a free 20-minute nutrition consultation with our in-house Precision Nutrition Coach Ann.  This will be an informal chat which gives members an opportunity to discuss anything about their nutrition habits and areas they would like to improve upon.  If you struggle to lose weight, have an unhealthy relationship with food, want to break overeating habits, or are just keen to learn more about making the right food choices, then book a free consultation today.  The consultations will take place at the Club in a socially distanced way or over Zoom and are available across Christmas and New Year. To do so please speak to the Reception team or email Ann through [email protected] and she will get in touch to arrange a time.

Master the Fundamentals of Healthy Eating in just 16 Weeks

If you are already looking ahead to January and your new year’s resolution is to make changes that lead to a healthier happier you, but don’t want to do another fad diet, why not take the steps now by signing up to our new course, Master the Fundamentals of Healthy Eating in just 16 weeks.  Course starts from 8th January 2021.
