Club Towers Charity Summer Ball – 26th June 2021

12 March 2021

After sadly having to cancel last year’s event, Matthew and Ann are delighted to invite members to the 2021 Charity Summer Ball dinner and dance to raise money for our member’s chosen charities. It is always the highlight of our social calendar! The event is scheduled for the first weekend after the complete lifting of lockdown restrictions, and what better way to celebrate than to share an evening out with friends and family and support two very deserving charities. So many of us have been adversely affected by the pandemic, not only by COVID-19 directly, but also by the isolation from friends and family and the consequent impact on our mental health. This will be an early chance to restore some normality to our lives.

The details for this year are as follows:

Date: Saturday 26th June 2021
Time: 7.00pm for 7.45pm. Carriages at 1am
Place: Marquee next to the Club Lounge Sun Terrace
Ticket Price: £70 per person (you can book and pay for a table of 10 or purchase the tickets individually)
Dress Code: Black tie/long dress

The evening will start when you arrive at the Club Lounge, greeted by a glass of fizz and canapes. This will be followed by a four-course dinner, during which there will be fun games, plus a raffle and auction. The DJ will then start the music and get everyone dancing through to the early hours.

Our two member chosen charities this year are CHUMS and Bedfordshire Sands, two very worthy charities who as with other charities have been hit hard by the impact of the last year, so we are aiming to raise as much as we can for them. As with previous years it will be a cost neutral event for the Club in which the ticket and drinks sales will cover the event costs. Any profit from ticket and drink sales and all monies raised on the night from the Raffle, games and auction will go to the two charities.

We are again running a corporate sponsorship programme, the only time we allow advertising in the Club and in our Club’s communications. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Jo Saywell at [email protected] for further details on the benefits of sponsorship.  Equally if you are able to support with any auction or raffle prizes then please do get in touch with Ann – thank you!

To book your tickets or table, please contact Ben Nethersole at [email protected] . We sold out in 2019 and anticipate that the event will again be very popular. There are 180 tickets available this year, so do book now to avoid disappointment.   As this is a member event, Club members will get priority to book. Nonetheless, if you are booking a table of ten, you will be able to include a maximum of two non-members on your table. Equally if your spouse or partner isn’t a member you can bring them as a plus one.

If the roadmap for exiting lockdown doesn’t go quite to plan and the event needs to be cancelled please rest assured you can move your ticket to 2022 or receive a full refund, so do buy in confidence.

We very much look forward to a delightful evening with you in June.

*Please note that the event is only for those aged 18 and over and the Club will be closed early at 5.00pm on the day of the event.
