Workshop – Personal Leadership Development

10 October 2017

Club Towers takes a holistic approach to health and well-being, covering not only the physical aspects, but also the mental challenges faced by our members. As part of this approach, we will be offering workshops and coaching services in the area of personal leadership development.

The first Personal Leadership Development Series will take place in November, on the topic of:

Language & the Pursuit of Personal Leadership

Do you ever feel overwhelmed? Trying to get things done on-time? Or done at all? Unsure of your own abilities? Frustrated with the broken promises of others? Feeling stuck? In a rut?

If you answer “yes” to some of these questions, then this workshop would be useful for you.

This personal leadership development workshop invites you to take a fresh look at language. By becoming more aware of the generative acts in language that make things happen, we can further enhance our ability to produce the results we want in our professional and personal lives.

This 4-part workshop is delivered over a period of 4 weeks and aims to develop the following personal leadership skills –

  • Building more confidence & self-assurance.
  • Improved communications.
  • Making effective requests & offers.
  • Making & fulfilling commitments & dealing with unfulfilled promises.
  • Being accountable & assisting others in their accountability.
  • A new interpretation of Time Management.
  • Developing resilience & compassion in yourself and others.
  • Become more skilful in making informed judgements.

Date: Every Tuesday evening from 7th November 2017 for 4 weeks. (7th, 14th, 21st & 28th November)

Time: 19:00 – 21:00

Place: Towers Health & Racquets Club

More information on Ann Towers Coaching

Ann Towers is a trained Ontological Coach, specialised in personal development and leadership coaching with a particular focus on start-up entrepreneurs, executives and professionals in transition.

As an Ontological coach, Ann sees that as human beings, our reality or worldview is shaped by many things within and around us. The stories we have been told by our family, our culture and our history; the assumptions that we live our life by; the way we make sense of the reality; the beliefs and values we hold; the way we use language; the emotions we habitually fall into; the ways we move our body and hold our posture; the systems in which we live and work… All these elements go into forming the way we see the world and thus interact with it and create results.

Coaching is a partnership in which the coach and the coaching client explore different areas of learning, in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires the coaching client to maximize his or her personal and professional potential. In Ontological Coaching, the exploration of the learning puts particular focus on the client’s way of being, how he or she shows up in the world in the domains of Language, Emotions and Body, so that the client can become more aware of the actions he or she chooses and moves in greater awareness towards a more effective and meaningful life.

Before entering into coaching, Ann worked as a marketing & advertising professional for over 25 year with clients such as CITIBANK, IBM, Philip Morris, Johnson & Johnson, Hennessy, and IMS Research. She now works at Towers Health & Racquets Club in Bedford as their marketing manager and internal coach.
