Summer for Juniors & Families at Club Towers
Whilst we know many members take a short break over the summer, there is still plenty for families to do at the Club. Below we summarise everything available for juniors and families at the Club during the summer vacation. We will continue to update this as we add any events, so do check back or keep an eye on our Facebook page and newsletters.
Swimming
We will be running our summer holiday timetable from the 25th July until the 4th September – this can be found here. Please note the additional adult only swim only times when planning your swims.
We are running two crash courses in the holidays:
- A Beginners course (aimed at Ducklings and Stage 1-2 swimmers) will run from Monday 1st – Friday 5th August inclusive
- An Improvers course (aimed at swimmers Stage 3 upwards) will run from Monday 8th – Friday 12th August inclusive.
Both courses will run from 2-3pm and cost £72, with 6 places per course ensuring a good teacher/pupil ratio. Find out more and book at Reception.
Kids’ Special Events
Our kids’ events were popular last year so we are pleased to run them again this year! Details are as follows:
Teddy Bears Picnic – Friday 5th August, 12 – 1pm.
£15 which includes lunch, games and stories. Bring your own teddy!
Aimed at juniors ages 4 – 6, but younger ones welcome.
Junk Modelling Fun – Wednesday 24th August, 2 – 3.30pm
£13 for the session. Suitable for ages 5-9.
Kids Arts & Crafts – Thursday 1st September, 2 – 3.30pm
£13 for the session which includes take home crafts. Suitable for ages 5 – 9.
These sessions are all bookable at Reception in the Club or on 01234 607111.
Gym
Please remember that any under 16s must be with a parent/guardian at all times.
Parent & Junior Gym
Our 12-15 year old junior members can use the gym under parental supervision at the following times:
Weekdays: Any time apart from 5.15pm to 8.15pm
Weekends: Any time after 12.15pm.
Juniors may use any equipment apart from free weights and our plate-loaded kit. They must do a gym induction and sign a Health Commitment Statement before using the gym for the first time, with the parent also signing the Health Commitment Statement to record their approval.
The parent/guardian must obviously remain in the gym at all times, and we expect parents to keep an eye on their juniors whilst they are exercising, although they might be in a different part of the gym. The usual rules on booking a space, cleaning equipment and general gym etiquette apply.
Junior Gym Floor Workouts
We offer junior gym floor workouts for our 12-15 year old members and these will continue throughout the Summer. In addition, we are running an extra class on a Wednesday afternoon throughout the holidays. These 30-minute classes focus on all round fitness and strength, a great workout for teens of all levels.
Classes are bookable on the App and will run at the following times:
- Tuesdays and Thursdays 5.30 – 6pm
- Wednesdays 12.30 – 1pm (just for the holidays from 27th July – 31st August).
- Saturdays 12.30 – 1pm
A parent/guardian must be in the Club but does not have to be on the gym floor.
Creche
The creche continues to be open Monday to Friday from 9am to 1pm and Saturdays from 8.30am to 12.30pm, for children from 3 months to 6 years. It’s £7 per hour and places must be booked and paid for in advance with the Creche team.
Note the creche will be closed for 1 week from 23rd July for staff holiday.
Group Exercise
Junior Dance Class
Our junior dance class will continue to run every Tuesday at 4pm in the Mind and Body studio. This 45-minute class is aimed at boys and girls aged 8-15. It is for all levels/abilities and is bookable on the App.
Family Circuits
This is a workout for you to do with your child, aimed at ages 5-12, running every Saturday, 12.45 – 1.30pm. It will run right through the holidays with our PT Mark and you can book a space for you and your child on the App.
Additional Classes Suitable for 14-15 Year Olds.
There are several additional classes available to 14 – 15 year olds during the summer holidays (in addition to the usual ones). The full list is summarised below and all are bookable on the App. They are all marked with an asterisk *.

Parents/Guardians do not need to be in the same class but must be in the Club.
Multi-Sports
We will be running five multi-sports sessions across August.
Tuesday 2nd, Wednesday 3rd, Tuesday 9th, Wednesday 10th, Tuesday 16th
The indoor sessions with our racquets coaching team will be focused on fun, energy and movement! Sessions will vary across the Summer, but will include tennis, squash, table tennis, ball games and more and are suitable for junior members aged 4-11.
No equipment is needed – everything will be provided (but do bring your own tennis racquet if you have one and want to bring it). Please do bring a drink and a small snack and remember to wear clean non-marking shoes.
It’s £14 per session, £39 for 3 sessions and £60 for 5 sessions. This discount can be applied across different weeks but bookings must be made at the same time.

Junior Tennis
We are running four weeks of junior social tennis for our older juniors aged 11 and up to give them a chance to play games with other like-minded players.
Coach Nick will be supervising the sessions and encouraging games such as “beat the coach”, round robin matches and social play.
Wed 10th, 24th and 31st August – 2 to 5pm
Sessions are free but please contact Nick Boys on 07810 832774 in advance, so we know who is coming.
Parents/guardians must remain in the Club for this session.
Junior Squash
If your child is age 5+ and would like a FREE Taster session with coach Alexis White please contact Steve Adams (Racquets Operations Manager) at [email protected]
Steve will liaise with Alexis to provide the Taster on either Saturday 6th or 20th August , 10.15 – 11am.
Our full programme for weekly junior coaching courses recommences in early September.
Table Tennis
During the holidays, the table tennis will be out every weekend from 2 – 8pm and hourly slots can be booked on the App. Under 12s must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Over 12s can play on their own but the parent/guardian must remain in the Club. We do have racquets and balls you can borrow, but please do clean these before/after use and please do remember to wear clean, non-marking shoes – thank you!
Family BBQ
Weather permitting we run a BBQ every two weeks on Saturday afternoons on our outdoor sun terrace. The first one is on 16th July, then 30th July, and so on. Look out for when these will be in the Club or on Facebook.
