New Winter Menu Launch for Club Lounge

A sharp wind and frosty mornings can only mean one thing – winter had cast its cold breath upon us. A change in season often brings other changes with it, and our newly named “Club Lounge” will shortly launch a revamped winter menu complete with an array of healthy offerings and some winter warming comfort foods.

It’s fair to say the first six months have been a steep learning curve for us as we have developed our Club Lounge concept. We have seen some significant successes, with our staff team receiving generally excellent reviews, and some menu options and innovations proving popular, such as the ability to select sides with our “children’s” and “Jamie’s” menu.

With these successes have come a number of challenges. The transition from our opening, very simple menu to a four-page restaurant menu, created some operational difficulties for us. Due to the nature of our build, storage became a real issue, resulting in menu items often becoming out of stock, and waiting times for food also rose. Our desire to provide a much more comprehensive offering, including numerous gluten free and vegetarian offerings, was in hindsight a little too ambitious, at this stage in our development.

With this in mind, the winter menu reduces the number of menu options available, removing those that were least popular, but will enable us to offer the service levels that we desire on a more consistent basis. Our new “Gluten Free Option” (GFO) concept will debut with our new menu. Where “GFO” has been placed against an item, our team will be able to advise on a replacement or amendment that is gluten free. As always, our team is on hand with full allergen advice in relation to the food items served from our kitchen.

We look forward to delivering our new menu starting on Tuesday 14th November, and hope our members will enjoy it. Our Steak and Ale Pie with “lashings of gravy” should be an ideal winter warmer!
