National Fitness Day – Free Online Classes Streamed from the Club

21 September 2020

It’s National Fitness Day this Wednesday (23rd Sept) which is a chance to highlight the role physical activity plays in the UK and create awareness of the importance of fitness in helping us lead healthier and active lifestyles. Something we wholeheartedly support!

For the day we will be running three additional group exercise exercises on Club Towers Live and also through Facebook Live available to everyone.

Join us online for the one or all of the following classes:

12.00-12.30pm – Grit Cardio with Katy
12.45-1.15pm – Barre with Charlie
1.30-2.00pm – LBT with Amanda

Join the Facebook events above to be reminded when we go live for each class. If you can’t make the above times, the videos will remain on Facebook for a few days and after that be moved to the on demand section of Club Towers Live.

Les Mills GRIT™ Cardio is a 30-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout that improves cardiovascular fitness, increases speed and maximizes calorie burn. This workout uses a variety of body weight exercises and provides the challenge and intensity you need to get results fast.

Barre is a full body workout combining ballet inspired moves with elements of Pilates, dance, yoga and strength training. It involves classic dance moves, such as plies, paired with static stretches and high reps of small range movements. This creates isometric challenges where you contract specific muscles to really feel the burn! Benefits of Barre include a stronger core and lower body and it is great if you prefer a low impact class.

LBT is a low impact sculpting and fat burning class focusing on all those problem areas. Incorporating classic body weight moves such as squats and lunges, our instructors will lead you through an effective lower body and core workout, giving options on the way to suit all levels of fitness/ability.

Members – don’t forget you get access to Club Towers Live as part of your membership. Please email [email protected] and we can set you up a login.

Everyone is welcome to take part in the classes, so please do share the Facebook links with friends and family.
