Free Junior Racquets Tasters – 4th January 2023

18 December 2022

We have extensive squash and tennis coaching programmes here at the Club and very keen for all junior members to try two sports that we think are pretty special.

Our spring term starts Monday 9th January but we are offering free taster sessions for both Squash and Tennis on Wednesday 4th January. This is a great opportunity for your child to try a racquet sport to see if they like it before committing to a term.

The details of the taster sessions are below, and you can sign up at Reception.

Squash

5 – 5.45pm Mini Squash Ages 4 – 7 and beginner early learner age 8 and up.

Please note that our Mini Squash session runs on a Saturday morning, 9.30-10.15am normally, but we have a big Squash event at the Club on the first Saturday in January so the taster is on the Wednesday 4th.

Tennis

4pm Hots Shots – Under 8s

5pm Aces/Slammers –  Under 9s and Under 11s

6pm Team –  Under 16s

The age groupings are an approximate guide to begin with. Our coaches will move the children into the right groups on the day though so no need to worry too much!

Don’t worry if you don’t have a racquet, these will be supplied.  Clean, non-marking shoes MUST be worn (no black soles please).

If you can’t make the above dates we can book you in for a taster at another time. Please get in touch with Head Tennis Coach Nick Boys or Racquets Operations Manager Steve Adams, contact details below.

Do note that all our junior members up to age 12 have racquets included in their membership with juniors age 12 – 15 paying just a little more for their membership to include racquets. We have a full coaching programme for all ages and abilities and encourage participation from all ages.  You can read more about our tennis coaching programme here and our squash coaching programme here.

If you have any further questions about the tasters or what is on offer for your child after these sessions these please do speak to Nick or Steve at [email protected] or [email protected]
