First Floor in place and Roof Construction Commenced
The build has continued apace in August, with the weather good (if a bit hot at times!) and progress on track. The first floor deck is now in place and the attached photos show the first floor interior and one of the views from the front of the building. As you can see, it looks massive!
The first floor will house the gym plus the High Energy studio, Mind and Body studio and spin studio, plus treatment rooms and creche.
Downstairs, the balance tank for the swimming pool passed its leakage tests, and the main swimming pool itself is now on test. Some of the panelling is already in place for the walls, and the drainage within the building has been excavated.
Next steps inside the building will be to excavate the hydropool, cast the ground floor concrete slabs and commence the internal blockwork. Outside, the external works on the car park and drainage will commence. These have been hampered by an unusual lack of stone, but it is important that these are in place before the Autumn rains arrive.
