Charity Nominations for 2021-2022 Open

Helping others and being involved in our community is a big part of life at the Club. So, we are really proud that we have raised over £25,000 for local charities since we opened in 2017, thanks to the support of our members and staff. 

Every year we ask members to choose two charities which we support over a year through a series of events held at the Club.  Normally we change the charities each year but due to Covid-19 we kept the charities chosen in 2019 until now.  The charities chosen in 2019 were Bedfordshire Sands and CHUMS and we will shortly be announcing how much has been raised for them.

It’s now time to ask who you would like the Club to support next! 

We have two sets of criteria for nominations:

• A local charity

and/or

• A charity involved in sport, fitness, health or wellness

We are also looking to support a charity we haven’t supported before. Since 2017, we have supported Autism Bedfordshire, The Kings Arm’s Project, Bedford Open Door, Bedford Hospital Charity & Friends, Bedfordshire Sands, and CHUMS.

After the closing date for nominations, a list will be circulated of all nominations and members will be asked to vote for their top two. The two with the most votes will be selected as our charities for 2021-2022.
