Charity Cake and Coffee Morning – 23rd September
It’s Cake and Coffee morning time! Our Autumn coffee morning will take place on Saturday 23rd September. Thanks to the kind donations of members, staff and suppliers we will be offering a wide range of scrumptious home-made cakes and sweet treats. Starting at 9am, we will run until approximately 1pm – or earlier if we’ve sold out!
All monies raised from the sales will go to the local charities that members chose over the Summer – FACES and St John’s Special School in Kempston – and the Club will also donate 50% of all hot drink sales during the morning. Perhaps an opportunity to try our September Club Lounge special – “Dirty Chai Latte” – if you haven’t already.
Whilst the Club continues to be cash free, we will be accepting cash donations on the day and there will be two buckets available for this. All items will have a suggested donation; we won’t be offering change or charging set amounts. Card donations can also be made at Reception.
As it’s Saturday morning and lots of children will be in the Club, we will be running a couple of fun games for them, with a suggested donation of 50p per game. Cash will be accepted for these.
For those that aren’t familiar with the charities’ work, FACES provide early-help support to children, young people and their families and St John’s Special School in Kempston caters for pupils who have severe and complex learning difficulties, from Early Years through to post-16. Two extremely important charities that make a real difference to local people. This is our first event for them.
If you would be able to support with baking or donating sweet treats please do let us know by emailing Alice on [email protected].
We look forward to enjoying a cake and coffee with you!BACK TO EVENTS
