Changes to your England Squash Membership

From August this year, England Squash has changed the way its memberships operate. Individual players will pay an affiliation fee directly to England Squash in return for a number of significant benefits, whilst Clubs will pay a Club affiliation fee based on the number of courts they operate in return for their own set of benefits. This mirrors the changes made a few years back by the LTA for UK Tennis. The Club affiliation for Towers Health & Racquets with England Squash expires on 31/12/24, so your current individual membership via the Club one will continue to operate until this date. However, from 01/01/25 you will need to register directly with England Squash to continue England Squash membership.

There are three paid membership options for adults ranging from £10/year to £25/year, and one extra one for juniors at £15/year. They are great value and we strongly encourage all of our squash players to take out one of these options and support the development of squash in the UK. In the run up to LA2028 it is vital that squash in the UK has the funds to promote and develop the game at all levels, from grassroots upwards and capitalise on the enhanced profile that we will get from exposure in the Olympics.

As an added bonus, the £15 and £25 membership options offer some great additional benefits, such as:

  • A 10% discount at PDH Sports (which I use regularly and is an excellent on-line shop).
  • Up to £10M of personal accident and public liability insurance cover on the squash courts.
  • Great discounts on Squash TV (up to 70% for new subscribers).
  • Early access to tickets for PSA events and discounts on early round tickets.
  • And many others……

The Squash TV discount alone will pay for your England Squash membership. It is a great service and coverage is improving all the time. I thoroughly recommend it!

Note that all players who compete in England Squash events (seniors and juniors) and county leagues (i.e. team matches in the Beds, Cambs or Northants leagues) will need at least a £15 membership (and possibly a £25 membership depending on the County League).

Please do sign up for your new membership asap and set it to start from 01/01/25 (when your existing one will expire). You can find a full description of the various options on the England Squash web-site
