5th Birthday Celebrations – 19th March 2022
It’s now five years since we opened our doors and what a wonderful 5 years it has been! We want to thank our members new and old with a day of celebrations on Saturday 19th March. We have put together a full programme of activities for everyone and, as always, there’s an active theme running throughout the day.
(Note that some of the activities may require advanced booking at Reception)
Free Buffet at Club Lounge 9am – 5pm
We will have a free buffet available on the big table in the Club Lounge from 9am – 5pm. The morning will see a variety of pastries, cakes and breakfast/brunch related goodness and from midday there will be a finger buffet of wraps, sandwiches, sausages rolls etc. Do come along and help yourself to a plate and celebrate with us.
There will of course be a birthday cake too! We hope it is big enough!
Gym Floor Workouts 7.30 -1.30pm
Our personal training team are putting on a morning of back-to-back gym floor workouts, every hour starting at 7.30am and running through to 1.30pm. For those not familiar with them, our gym floor workouts are a 30-minute exercise session based around the Omnia rig in the gym. The exercises can be adapted to all abilities and focus on core strength and fitness. Booking is open at Reception now.
Face Painter 10am – 1pm
We know how much children love getting their face painted so bring them down to the Club between 10am and 1pm when a face painter will be in the Club Lounge.
80s Squash Team Match 11 – 1pm
This is one we’ve wanted to do for a while, so we are very pleased to get it onto the calendar! We’ve sourced some wooden squash rackets and will be playing a team match from 11am – 1pm. Suitable for all abilities and juniors 14+. 80s squash attire is not essential but do dust off those plain white shirts and shorts and green flash shoes if you wish! There will be an extra prize for the best dressed “80s style” player! Do bring your own wooden racquet if you have one! Sign up at Reception, booking is open now.
Extended Family Splash – 1 – 4pm
As we hope lots of you will be coming to the Club to celebrate with us, we plan to extend Family Splash so that it runs from 1-4pm. All lanes will be out and the floats and balls in for this fun session!
Balloon Modeller 1 – 4pm
A balloon modeller will be in the Club in the afternoon creating balloon models for the children.
Junior Fitness in the Bubble 1 – 1.30pm
Ahead of our main “Fitness in the Bubble” workout we will be holding a dance class for juniors aged 7 – 13. Parents are welcome to stay and watch (or join in if you wish!) or you can go into the Club Lounge for a coffee.

Kids Club Arts, Crafts and Games 1.45 – 3pm & 3pm – 4.15pm
Our Kids Club team will be here running two back-to-back sessions of arts, crafts, and games for juniors aged 4 -10.
If you need childcare so that you can attend Fitness in the Bubble please book both sessions and if you would like your child to join us just for the activities, you are welcome to book one or two sessions.
It’s £2.50 per session and booking is open at Reception now.
Fitness in the Bubble 2 – 4pm
We are very excited to bring back our popular Fitness in the Bubble event. Join us for a free 2-hour mash up class, where our awesome instructor team will be leading a programme of Body Attack, Body Combat, GRIT Cardio, Zumba, LBT, Circuits, Les Mills Core and Body Balance. The workout will have different levels, so everyone is very welcome.
The workout will be suitable for anyone aged 14+. Parents/guardians of 14/15 year olds don’t have to do the workout but must remain in the Club. Please do bring your mat for the Core and Body Balance section if you have one. We will also be providing mats for those that need one, but we have a limited stock and this event is always popular.

Tennis Drills & Fastest Serve Competition 2 – 3pm
A great workout and at the same time a chance to groove your key shots in coach-led drills. You will be led through a variety of routines in quick succession. Excellent for footwork and combined racket skills!
The pros serve at speeds of up to 140-150mph, but have you ever wanted to know how fast you can serve? We will have a radar gun on court to see who has the fastest serve in the Club.
These sessions are taking place on the indoor courts. Please book at Reception in advance as spaces are limited.
Junior Gym Floor Workout 2.30 – 3pm
We are running an additional Junior Gym floor workout for junior members aged 12-15. It’s a chance for them to get used to the gym under the supervision and expertise of our personal trainers. Parents/Guardians do not need to come into the gym but must remain in the Club. Booking is open now at Reception.
Beat the Coach 3 – 4pm
Fancy your chances against our tennis coaches? Join us at 3pm to see if you can beat Nick, Boglarka, Tom or Dave in a quick-fire singles match of 3 points.

“All Mix-In” Tennis 4 – 6pm
Looking for a few friendly competitive games? Sign up for some social games at the slightly later than normal time of 4-6pm. Please book at Reception in advance.
