Vote Now! Which Charities Should we Support for 2026-27?
During July, our members have been busy nominating charities that they would like the Club to support over the coming 12 months. Nominations are now closed and the list of nominations that meet our criteria is shown below. Now is the time for you to vote for your preferred choices!
It has been inspiring to hear about the many incredible local charities that make a real difference in our community and the vital support they offer. Thank you to all our members who took the time to send in their nominations and help us recognise these deserving charities, sharing the positive impact they have on those in need.
Together we have raised more than £115,000 since the Club opened in 2017 and we are excited to continue building on this incredible achievement throughout the year ahead and so.
Voting is now open and will close at midnight on Monday 31st August. The voting is normally close, so every vote counts!
All adult members get up to two votes each, and these must be cast for two different charities. You cannot vote for the same charity twice.

In early September, we will announce the two charities with the most votes, and these will be automatically selected for our support in 2026 – 2027.
Amicus Trust Ltd (268639)
Amicus Trust Ltd is a Bedford charity that provides supported accommodation and practical, emotional, and educational support to local people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness, helping them build independent and stable lives.
Bedford FoodBank (1179538)
Bedford Foodbank provides emergency food, essential supplies, and practical support to people in crisis while working with local agencies to help address the underlying causes of food poverty.
Bedford Hospital Charity & Friends (299250)
Bedford Hospital Charity & Friends raises funds to support Bedford Hospital, helping provide improved facilities, equipment, services, and patient care beyond what NHS funding can provide.
Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity (1061538)
Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity supports local people and communities across Bedfordshire by providing services, advice and projects that help improve wellbeing, reduce isolation and strengthen community life.
Canine Partners (803680)
Canine Partners create loving, life-changing partnerships between disabled people and expertly trained assistance dogs. These amazing dogs help in so many ways enabling their partner to remain active and manage every day tasks. It costs £30000 to take a dog from puppy selection to retirement for each partnership.
Country Days (1181833)
Country Days is an educational charity providing outdoor learning in a beautiful nature reserve for primary school children in years 3 -6 who live in Bedfordshire. Research has proven that there are innumerable benefits of spending time outdoors. Country Days gives children in Bedfordshire the opportunity to explore the wonders of nature, reconnect with the wild and discover the world around them — it’s time to find out what we can learn from a worm!
Creating Memories (1189423)
Creating Memories is a charity, working across Beds, Bucks and Herts, that helps children and adults living with life-limiting or terminal illnesses by creating special experiences and lasting memories for them and their families.
Embrace (1156447)
Established in 1954, Embrace is a small charity based in Bedford(shire), with a mission to provide support to families living with disabilities. They offer support for the whole family from helping parent carers find a voice at meetings, offering advice and assistance and helping at home in times of need, to a vast array of parent-carer wellbeing sessions, family sessions and activities for children and young people all the way from babies to adults.
FDAC – Family Drug and Alcohol Court (1215776)
Family Drug and Alcohol Court (FDAC) is a specialist service that helps families involved in care proceedings by supporting parents to overcome substance misuse and other challenges, with the aim of keeping children safe and helping families stay together where possible.
Friends for Life Bedford (1165730)
Friends for Life Bedford supports older people living in care homes by providing friendship, companionship and activities to help reduce loneliness and improve wellbeing.
Fun 4 Young People (1198194)
Fun 4 Young People (F4YP) provides fun, educational and supportive activities for young people across Bedfordshire, helping them build confidence, develop skills and improve their wellbeing.
Hear Me Out (1119049)
Hear Me Out help people inside immigration detention centres to express their humanity through music – to air their losses and fears, their hopes and their dreams. They help everyone outside to hear the music and understand the lives of people trapped inside. They are working for the day when all migrants are treated with dignity. If selected the charity have confirmed the funds would be spent locally.

Link to Change is a charity working across Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes, that supports children and young people affected by exploitation, abuse and social exclusion, helping them build confidence, recover from trauma and create a safer, more positive future
Magpas Air Ambulance (1000351)
Magpas Air Ambulance provides a life-saving emergency medical service across Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas, bringing specialist doctors and critical care to patients in their greatest time of need.
Q – Youth MK (1070101)
Q:Youth MK provides safe, inclusive spaces, support and activities for LGBTQ+ young people in Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas, helping them build confidence, friendships and a sense of belonging.
Ridgeway School Association (1055071)
The Ridgeway School Association raises funds to support Ridgeway School in Kempston by providing extra equipment, activities, outings, holidays and other opportunities that enhance the education and experiences of pupils with disabilities.
Road Victims Trust (1142336)
Each year about 1,750 people die as a result of road collisions on the UK’s roads. This represents an enormous loss. Each person killed or injured will be someone’s parent, partner, child, a favourite relative or best friend. Victims include bereaved individuals and families, those that were involved in the collision or who witnessed it. The Road Victims Trust provides support for the bereaved and people otherwise affected by road death or life changing injuries, who are resident in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. Their Bedfordshire office is based in Kempston.
Rothsay Educational Centre (1063950)
Rothsay Educational Centre is a Bedford charity that supports education and learning opportunities, helping individuals and communities access resources, skills, and support to improve their futures.
