Powered By You! Celebrating Health and Fitness on National Fitness Day 2025!

National Fitness Day is the UK’s biggest celebration of health and fitness and last year they inspired more than 10 million people across the UK to be active on the day. Hopefully something we inspire our members to do every day!

This year’s tagline is “Powered by you!” placing you at the heart of the movement.
National Fitness Day isn’t just about one day of activity, but about taking small, lasting steps towards a healthier, stronger future. Something we couldn’t agree more with! And this mirrors a lot of the sentiment from our own Wellness Week, which is also encouraging members to take action, get moving and future proof your health and fitness with sessions available to help us do just that.

This year National Fitness Day takes place on Wednesday 24th September within our Wellness Week, and we have planned the following activities to mark and celebrate movement!

Fitness Day Gym Challenges

To encourage activity and to have some fun, the gym team will be running three gym challenges on the day:

  • Dead hang challenge – how long can you hang for?
  • Ski Erg challenge – how far can you go in 45 seconds?
  • Wall-Sit challenge – how long can you wall sit for?

Get involved and get your name on that board!  There will be prizes for the winners! Do let the gym team know if you are taking part as they can time you and/or support you with technique and encouragement!

30 minute Movement and Mobility Class – Available for all!

Sometimes it’s just easier to exercise at home, which is why we stream our Club Towers Live classes for members and are sharing a 30-minute Movement and Mobility Class from our expert PT Mark. This is available to all (not just our members) to encourage everyone to be active for 30 minutes so please do share with friends and family.

PT Mark specialises in helping his clients overcome limitations with their mobility by addressing their movement patterns and this class is all about that. Mark will take you through a series of movements and exercises that will help relieve tight hips, strengthen your back/core and help you function better overall. A functional, easy to follow class designed to increase your flexibility strength and stability.

The class is suitable for all levels and doesn’t require any equipment.  We will share it here on National Fitness Day and it will also be available to members in the high impact studio, booked on the app as usual.
