Play Your Way to Wimbledon (PYWTW) 2026
Playing on those sacred courts at Wimbledon SW19 may seem a lifetime away to most of us but actually in reality there are only two qualifying milestones to achieve to receive an expenses paid invitation to play in the national finals at Wimbledon.
For the second year running we are taking part in the national “Play your Way to Wimbledon” competition and now invite our adult and junior members to enter. The event is organised by the LTA and designed to give club-standard players the chance to win through to play at the All England Lawn Tennis Club – an amazing experience! Last year Claire Grant and Nicola Wilson-Fowler qualified for the national finals event at Wimbledon in August. You can read a reminder of their unforgettable experience here.
Winners (and possibly runners up) of our Club stage will be invited to a Regional stage event in July, with winners (and possibly runners up) then invited to play at Wimbledon in early August.
Adult Event 16th March to 23rd May
The adult event will be run in a round robin format between 16th March and 23rd May.
This is the Venue (Club) stage, with separate Mens and Ladies Doubles playing against each other over a 10 week period.
All adult players must be registered with the LTA in advance and have a World Tennis Ranking (WTN) between 25.0 and 40.9. By registering for LTA Advantage Play you automatically get a World Tennis Number (WTN) ranking. You can join here for FREE: https://www.lta.org.uk/advantage/
Please enter on the sign-up sheet on the main tennis noticeboard and remember to enter the names of both players on the sign-up sheet.
Junior Event 21st March
The 14U (age 14 and Under) junior tournament will take place on Saturday afternoon 21st March. The format and match times will be confirmed depending on the number of entrants
This is the Venue (Club) stage, with separate boys and girls singles competitions.
All junior players born between 2012 and 2015, are welcome to enter. They must be registered with the LTA in advance and have a World Tennis Ranking (WTN) between 32.0 and 40.9.
