Keeping our Juniors Members Active
We all know the importance of keeping our younger members active. With this in mind, we are delighted to announce a refresh of our Junior Group Exercise program. From September 2026 there will now be three different weekly classes for those under the age of 12 to attend:
- Family Fitness – Saturdays 1.30 – 2.15pm
- Junior Dance Fiesta – Tuesdays 4.45 – 5.30pm
- Boxercise for Kids – Fridays 4.45 – 5.30pm.
Family Fitness
Our previous bi-weekly Family Circuits class on a Saturday will move to a weekly slot, move to a slightly later time of 1.30-2.15pm and be renamed “Family Fitness” which better depicts what the class involves. This class is aimed at families with children aged 5 to 11 with children attending with their parents/guardians. Led on alternate weeks by PT Mark and Tennis Coach Alex, the class involves fun games and drills for both children and adults. It’s a great way for families to exercise and keep active together! You might want to jump into family splash in the pool afterwards!
Junior Dance Fiesta
Junior Dance Fiesta is a fun class with instructor Alyanna on a Tuesday from 4.45 to 5.30pm, aimed at junior members aged 7 to 11. This will replace the term-time Junior Dance courses we previously ran and will run as a weekly dance based fitness class instead. This means your child does not need to commit to a course; they can attend as often or as little as they wish and the class will run every single week. Alyanna will keep them moving with lots of easy to follow dances to popular tunes! Children should attend on their own but parent/guardians must remain in the Club.
Boxercise for Kids
Boxercise for Kids with instructor Lauren will run on a Friday from 4.45 to 5.30pm, term-time only, and is also aimed at juniors aged 7 to 11. Children can expect a fun, non-contact session featuring pad-work, shadow boxing and active games without any actual fighting or sparring. The class will run every week during term time only and once again children can attend as often or as little as they wish. Children should attend on their own but parent/guardians must remain in the Club.
Classes for 14-15 Year Olds
Don’t forget we also have a number of classes that 14- and 15-year-olds can attend without a parent/guardian. These classes are marked clearly with an asterisk on our timetable, are listed here and on the Club app.
How do I book?
All the above classes are included in your child’s junior membership and are bookable via the app, 6 days in advance like our other classes. Juniors with a phone and using the app will able to book the class themselves. For those not using the app, the parent/guardian can book the class for them at Reception (01234 607111).
Finally, just a reminder that Juniors aged 12 to 15 can also use the Gym with a parent/guardian anytime except weekdays from 5.30 to 8.00pm and weekends before 12.30pm. However, they do need to complete a gym induction with their parent first and these can be booked at Reception.
