Junior Tennis Success in the Beds County Closed

The annual Beds County Closed Junior Tennis Tournament took place once again at Riverside Tennis Club in August, bringing together over 50 talented young players from across the county. It was another fantastic showcase of junior tennis, full of competitive matches, good sportsmanship, and plenty of proud moments for players, parents, and coaches alike.

We are especially proud of the six Club Towers juniors who qualified and competed in what is widely considered the pinnacle of county-level junior tennis. Huge congratulations to Arka, Riddha, Aaron, Dillon, Oliver, and Ben for representing the Club so brilliantly. Taking part in such a high-level event is an achievement in itself, and the experience of competing under tournament pressure is invaluable for their tennis development.

Our juniors practice hard throughout the year with our coaching team, and it was wonderful to see that dedication paying off on court. Whether they win or lose, every match is an opportunity for them to learn and gain invaluable experience.

This year, there were some standout results that deserve a special mention:

• Dillon – Champion of the Boys’ 8U event, and runner up in the Boys U9s.
• Arka – Reached the finals of both the Boys’ 11U and 12U categories.
• Aaron Kolek – Finalist in the Boys’ 14U event.
• Oliver – Winner of the 14U Mixed Doubles with partner Lucie, triumphing in the final against none other than our very own Riddha, who alongside his partner Ana, finished as runner-up.

All our juniors taking part should be very proud of their efforts and hopefully, all will enter again next year along with more juniors from the Club. The future of tennis is looking very bright at Club Towers!
