Junior Squash – Northants Grand Prix 8th February 2026
The Northants Grand Prix series visits us here at the Club on Sunday 8th February.
These are fun tournaments (not too serious!) that are graded by ability rather than age. There are five grades from A (for the best players) through to E, which is suitable for early learners provided they can serve and return. Each grade only takes a couple of hours to complete, so there is plenty of action, but it does not take up the whole day.
The proposed plan is as follows:
9:00-10:30 – E Grade (novice)
10:30-12:00 – D Grade (beginner)
12:00-13:30 – C Grade (intermediate)
13:30-16:30 – B & A Grades (good to County level)
Please note the above is proposed and actual timings will be confirmed by the organiser by email closer to the time once all entries are in. Some guidance on the grades can be found here.
Entry is free for Club Towers members and Bedford Squash Academy juniors. To enter, please email the organiser Mike Broadbent at [email protected] giving name of junior, date of birth and suggested grade. You do not need to be precise about this as once the organisers have a list of entrants they will adjust accordingly. If you would like any advice on the grading of your child, please speak to your coach or ask Mike in your email.
