Junior Member Success at Bedfordshire Tennis County Closed
In the last week of August fifty juniors competed at Riverside Tennis Club in the 2024 County Closed Championships. It was excellent to see several of our Club Towers juniors enter this event, spread over 5 days in multiple age categories from U8 to U18. This is the pinnacle event in the county calendar for juniors to enter, and well done to all for having a go and gaining some great experience of competing. Dreams start from small beginnings and all these children will have learned so much from the experience. They are paving the way for their future success and they will grow and improve by entering more tournaments in future. Chase your dreams and enjoy the journey!

Dillon U8 Boys Singles– 3rd Place
Arka U10 Boys Singles – Winner
U10 Boys Doubles – Winner
Ben U10 Boys Singles – lost to Arka in the Semi-Final
Aaron U12 Boys Singles – Winner *
Oliver U12 Boys Singles – Runner Up
Riddha U12 Boys Singles – 3rd Place
U14 Consolation – Winner
Jessica U18 Girls Singles – Winner
U18 Girls Doubles – Winner
* Aaron also entered U14 and U16 Singles events, before losing to the strong 2nd seed in the U16 quarter final.
It is easy to search the LTA sanctioned events on-line at www.competitions.lta.org.uk/tournaments. It’s a little quirky but we recommend you type Bedfordshire into the search field and then narrow your search by using the filters on the screen.
We will also let you know of upcoming county tournaments in future too.
Our next Club tournament is the 2024 Junior Tennis Club Championships at Club Towers on Saturday 23rd November, for all age groups.
