Join our Christmas Celebration at the Club – Friday 5th December 2025
We’re delighted to invite all members to join us for our annual Christmas celebrations, taking place on Friday, 5th December. As always, we’ve planned a variety of sessions and activities —something for everyone to enjoy!
We’ll be starting in the late afternoon with…
Christmas Arts and Crafts 4.30 – 6pm
Calling all little elves aged 4–9! Our Creche team is ready with a sleigh-full of seasonal arts & crafts! Come and join them for a super sparkly, crafty session full of glitter and glue, with lots of creations they can take home!
Parents and guardians must stay in the Club but children can be left with the team. The session costs £14 and can be booked at Reception in the Club or on 01234 607111. Bookings are made on a first come, first served basis.
Christmas Group Cycle 5 – 5.45pm
Our regular Friday evening cycle class is getting a merry makeover! Pedal to your favourite Christmas tunes and feel the holiday spirit on those hills. Christmas outfits are strongly encouraged!
Hazel and Louise will be leading us for this one.
Book on the App as usual, 6 days in advance.
Adult and Junior Squash Competition 5.45 – 7.15pm
Adults and Juniors will be tagged together in a fun evening of round robin matches. Not a doubles squash event, but adults and juniors will be paired and their combined points accumulated after each match. We anticipate this event will be wide open and great fun, so time to start practicing! Enter on the sign-up sheet in the squash corridor or via email to [email protected].
Festive Mash Up Class 5 – 6pm
Ana, Carrie and Garry are leading us in our group exercise Christmas mash up class – a mix of Body Attack, Body Combat, Zumba, Aerobics, Dance and LBT. Always popular so do book early! As with the Group cycle class, Christmas outfits are very welcome!
You can book this class on the App 6 days before.
Junior Dance Class Performances 5 – 5.30pm
Caitlin has been leading some of our junior members in our weekly dance class and they are going to perform for us! We have two age groups; our younger group aged 7-9 and our older group aged 10 to 14 who will both perform for us in the holistic studio. The younger group will start at 5.10pm and the older group 5.30pm.
Parents and guardians, please do come and watch; we will share exact timings by email closer to the time. The performances will be around 5-10 minutes each. Non-member parents/grandparents and guardians are welcome but there will be our small social guest fee charge of £5 which goes to member chosen charities Above and Beyond Cancer Foundation and Mind BLMK. They can stay and enjoy the evening with their family too.
This is an extra performance; they will be doing an end of term one too on the 9th December.
Christmas Carols, Mulled Wine and Mince Pies 6.10-6.40pm
We’re delighted to welcome back the ever-popular Bedford Modern Singers! Join us in the Club Lounge as they lead everyone in a few traditional carols around our beautifully decorated Christmas tree.
The Club Lounge team will be serving complimentary mulled wine and mince pies, making it the perfect way to soak up the festive spirit and enjoy some holiday cheer with fellow members.
Santa’s in the House (Club!) 6.40 – 7.10pm
We’ve arranged a special visit from the big man himself and Santa will be in the Club Lounge with some small presents on the settees by the tree after the carols. No need to book – please just come along.
Christmas Jumper Tennis Tournament 7 – 9pm
A firm favourite on the Club’s calendar, our Christmas Jumper Tennis Tournament returns to celebrate the season in true festive style!
Open to all players of social tennis level and above, this fun event is the perfect mix of friendly competition and holiday cheer. And remember — Christmas jumpers or fancy dress are essential!
To join in the fun, please add your name to the sign-up sheet on the Tennis noticeboard in the squash corridor.
Club Lounge Specials
The Club Lounge will be doing seasonal specials throughout December, including our Christmas dinner baguette, Orange hot chocolate and Tia Maria coffee, so do look out for them, or ask the Club Lounge team for details. If you would like to pre-order any food for the evening of Friday 5th, do get in touch with the team who will be happy to help.
Our Christmas celebration is always a highlight of our year, and we can’t wait! Seasonal wear very welcome, the more jolly the better!
