Delicious Donations Raise £1,900 for Local Charities

We had a wonderful morning at the Club during our cake and coffee event last week. The Club Lounge was full, with families and friends coming together to enjoy tea, coffee, and an incredible selection of delicious homemade cakes. The variety and quality of the bakes on offer was simply fantastic. From beautifully decorated celebration cakes to cupcakes and brownies,  there was something to tempt everyone.

Thanks to everyone’s efforts—from baking and buying to the Club donating 50% of all hot drink sales—we are thrilled to share that we raised an outstanding £1,917. This is a fantastic achievement and a true reflection of the generosity and community spirit within the Club.

For those not familiar, we host cake and coffee mornings twice a year, with all proceeds going to our member-chosen charities. For 2025–2026, we are pleased to be supporting Above and Beyond Cancer Foundation and Mind BLMK.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed their time and talents in baking, including many of our members and staff. Special recognition goes to Missi of Missi’s Cakes, whose extraordinary cake donations helped our total soar. We are also very grateful to our suppliers, La Rondine and Bookers, for their continued support.

Finally, thank you to everyone who came along and made the cake and coffee morning such an enjoyable and successful occasion.

Looking Ahead

Our next and last event for this year’s chosen charities is our 12-hour charity classathon.  “A day packed full of 27 fantastic classes in our studios, gym and pool – plus two on our tennis courts!”

There’s something for everyone from Body Combat, Meditation, Somatic Yoga, Gym floor workouts with a live DJ and cardio tennis to name just a few.  Classes are £8 each with every penny going to the charities.  You can read more here and can book here.
