Club Lounge Front of House Full Time Role

We are seeking to recruit a full-time front of house team member to work 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.

Reporting to the Club Lounge Manager, this role will have several key elements, such as:

  • Delivering first-class customer service to our members.
  • Taking food orders and delivering food from the kitchen.
  • Preparing and serving tea, coffee, alcoholic, and soft drinks.
  • Maintaining a clean and healthy environment in the kitchen and Club Lounge.
  • Contributing to team meetings to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Contributing to the overall member experience and promoting the Club’s ethos.
  • Keeping up-to-date with training and current legislation.

The Candidate

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

  • A professional and customer-focused approach to interacting with Members and work colleagues.
  • Experience in a café or restaurant environment.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently during busy periods
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle issues effectively
  • Must be aged 18+, due to the requirement to serve alcohol.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and must provide two employment references.

The Club

Club Towers is a premium health & racquets Club located in Bedford, offering our members a wide range of excellent facilities including a high-class gym, three studios, tennis, squash, treatment rooms, swimming pool and spa. Since opening in 2017, we have been highly successful, building a large membership base, and now operating a waiting list for new members.

Our members expect high levels of customer service from our staff team and hence we look to recruit people who are capable of interacting positively with our members to ensure they are well looked after.

Salary & Benefits

We invest in our staff team, offering regular training, the opportunity to improve key skills and to contribute to the development of each department.

The rate of pay is £12.25 per hour. We also operate a bonus scheme for all of our staff and operate a contributory pension scheme. Holidays are initially 30 days (pro rata, including bank holidays), rising with length of service. Complimentary Club membership is included with this position, and a discounted membership is available for family members (after the probation period).
