Announcing New Charity Ball Sponsor, Greenacre Independent School
Bedford Greenacre Independent School is our new neighbour, situated at the top of the hill behind the Club in their state-of-the-art building, completed in January 2025. On our recommendation, they chose Pellikaan Construction Limited – the same company that built our Club – having been impressed by our construction. We find their new building just as impressive!
School Principal, Ian Daniel, has been a member of Club Towers from the first day we opened our doors and, as a former sports teacher, he strongly believes that children should be encouraged to participate in sport whatever their ability so that they learn to value the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. Indeed, for a number of years, Bedford Greenacre has provided membership of the Club as part of the sixth form fitness programme.
Whilst the current site is brand new, the school has a much longer history in the town. Bedford Greenacre Independent School was formed in 2021 by the merger of Rushmoor School and St Andrew’s School, both located in the town for over a century and both with excellent reputations. Bedford Greenacre is the only non-selective independent school in the town that caters for all ages, from Reception Class to Sixth Form, and it is fully co-educational. There is also a Nursery provision located separately on Kimbolton Road which caters for children from 4-months upwards.
Parental partnerships are a strength of the school, together with their commitment to each individual child’s needs and this is reflected in the school’s “excellent in all areas” rating.
