A Night to Remember as Charity Summer Ball Raises Record £11,700
The marquee event of the social calendar at Club Towers is always our Charity Summer Ball and, as usual, the 2025 version did not disappoint! Wonderful food, copious quantities of drinks consumed and some “excellent” dancing! And, most importantly, thanks to the generosity of our members and their guests, a record result in terms of funds raised!
A huge “thank you” to all of our members who joined us for the evening – we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! The final total raised by the event was £11,737 and this will be donated to our two member-chosen charities for the year – the Primrose Car Service and the Bedford Blues Foundation, both of whom had tables on the night.
Thanks also to Bedford Blues for hosting the event in their wonderful marquee. This looked spectacular on the night thanks to some amazing work on the decorations by Ann Towers, ably supported by Michelle Wilde.
The evening started with some fizz and the 150 guests were treated to an excellent three-course menu, plus a cheese board to finish by catering company Portfolio. The quality of the food was excellent!
Special mention must go to our sponsoring companies, who contributed so much to help the event make a financial surplus. Without them it could not take place. So huge thanks to our lead sponsor Group One MINI Bedford; Gold Sponsors, The Dental Surgery (Bedford), Baker Brothers, Greenacre Independent School plus Silver Sponsors, Polam School, Ampthill Fireplaces, Lane & Holmes, TruPath and Champneys.
Thank you to Andrew Wilmer from Lane & Holmes for once again running a highly entertaining auction, which raised an amazing £5,300 thanks to the guests’ generosity on the night. And thanks to Baker Brothers, Champneys, Carlsberg Britvic, The Beauty Guru in Olney and The Plough at Bolnhurst for donating auction and raffle prizes for the evening.
Debbie Inskip from the Primrose Car Service commented: “A massive thanks to Matt & Ann and the wonderful team at Club Towers for the most fabulous ball on Saturday night. Not only did we all enjoy a wonderful evening but everybody was so very generous towards the two chosen charities, the Bedford Blues Foundation and, ourselves, The Primrose Car Service. You have raised a truly amazing amount and we are extremely appreciative. Thank you for all your hard work and enthusiastic generosity of all your members over the year.”
Tom Harwood from the Bedford Blues Foundation added “Thank you for all who attended Club Towers 2025 charity ball and came to support the Blues Foundation and Primrose Car Service. We had a fantastic evening filled with dancing, laughing and great company. The money raised was an outstanding amount and we are extremely grateful!”
Our photographer captured the evening with lots of photos which are available to view on a laptop at Reception, we will also send you a link by email. If you feature in any of these and would like copies of them, simply ask a member of the team and we will send them to you. We’ve shared just a few below to give a flavour of the evening!
Our fund-raising year for the Primrose Car Service and Bedford Blues Foundation is now at an end and we will shortly be announcing the final totals raised for these charities over the past 12 months. If you would like to nominate a charity for the Club to support in the next 12 months, then please see how to do this here.
